FAQ
What are the deformation sensors designed by Nanomade?
Nanomade’s deformation sensors are ultra-thin, highly sensitive, transparent, customisable and flexible low-consumption sensors that, once glued inside or on an object, detect deformation (strain) of various surfaces, enabling real-time monitoring and data collection. These sensors have three main applications, Force & Touch, enabling any material or 3D shape to become interactive (leather, wood, metal, etc.), Health Monitoring, detecting micro-deformations in the body to collect physiological data (heartbeats, respiration, posture, etc.) and Structural Deformation Detection, identifying deformation or impact on various structures like metal or wood.
What technology does Nanomade use?
Nanomade uses quantum sensor technology. The heart of our technology is a nanoparticle based ink that, once deposited on a substrate, enables the detection of even the tiniest micro-deformations of different materials through tunnel effect. This technology also enables us to be at the forefront of the sensor market thanks to a unique innovation that mixes capacitive (touch) technology with the deformation (force) sensing capabilities on a single, thin and flexible film. This innovation is unique on the market today.
What are the application areas for Nanomade’s quantum deformation sensors?
Nanomade sensors have three main applications; Force & Touch, enabling any material or 3D shape to become interactive (leather, wood, metal, etc.), Health Monitoring, detecting micro-deformations in the body to collect physiological data (heartbeats, respiration, posture, etc.); and Structural Deformation Detection, identifying deformation or impact on various structures like metal or wood.
Why are Nanomade’s deformation sensors compatible with a wide range of materials?
Nanomade sensors are at a sensitivity that is unmatched on the market today thanks to a nanoparticle based ink. This sensitivity allows us to detect even the slightest micro-deformations of a material, making it effective not only with materials like leather and wood, but also on tougher materials like metal and glass.
Is it important for Nanomade that their technology has been recognized by many awards and accolades?
Yes, recognition through awards and accolades is incredibly important for Nanomade. These honors validate the groundbreaking and innovative nature of Nanomade’s technology. Awards not only enhance credibility but also serve as a powerful endorsement, reassuring potential partners, clients, and investors of the company’s expertise and reliability.
Nanomade has been named DeepTech by BpiFrance, recognised as 42nd best French startup by Forbes, as well as took part in LVMH’s startup accelerator ‘La Maison des Startups’ for its 9th season. The company also came third out of over 3000 startups at JTI’s Startupbootcamp challenge.
